Bridge Investment Development Program (BID)

BID exploits the venture-capitalist protocol in a novel process advantageous to our ROF. The program matches local Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SME's) with Diaspora Investors, Loan Originators and International Coalitions. This Fund Sourcing and Facilitation Program explores developmental projects and investment opportunities in Productive Sectors within our ROF.

Our member rationale is not only to engage in a gainful program but to also support growth and development, promote and shelter investments within the Productive Sector/industry of choice.

SME challenges such as informational gaps, high costs and risk of doing business within our ROF have been the norm; BID offers inroads to opportunity. BID’s focus on addressing SME challenges has integrated innovation, strategic coalitions and the needed technical expertise, essential for; favorable investment opportunity for BID’s network and business growth for SME’s within the ROF.

CURRENT PROJECT LEADS/OPPORTUNITIES

Program Goals:
  • Act as an efficient resource pool; to partner SME’s who are starved for growth, expansion or diversification funding.
  • Mobilize a highly efficient network of inter-regional members in the Diaspora to initiate, develop and engage in cost-effective developmental projects.
  • Offer members within the Diaspora an opportunity to partner with local banks and Loan Originators to partake in developmental objectives and strategies within the Private Sector of our ROF.
  • To present multilateral solutions to SME's with weak market linkages and lack of business development services.
  • To nurture job creation, economic development and inter-regional competitiveness.

Program Initiatives:

  • SME partnership/funding stake:
  • The program’s pioneering process facilitates the use of Loan Originators, information and technical expertise via a pool of members and strategic partners to fund and/or partner potentially merited/existent SME’s in all Productive Sectors. This avenue is existent for SME’s with at least; 2-3 years track record of doing business in the ROF, financially audited statements, a creditable management in place and a sound business plan.

Our business model under this domain incorporates a business strategy that measures the needs-analysis of an SME business to the funding expectations of the pool of member(s)/strategic partners; beneficial to the industry at large. We understand the need to balance risk and opportunity; as such the BID Program identifies itself with the appropriate crop of SME’s.
